What a wonderful, homely pub!!! DO NOT get put off by it being so quiet when you first walk in. This hidden gem is slowly being lovingly restored but this by no means takes away from the quality of food, service and warmth of the place. We were made to feel really welcome and comfortable. We will definitely be visiting again, all the way from Norwich I might add!!!!
Lovely pub with fresh, home cooked food. Beautiful autumnal decor at present to suit the current season, really cosy feel. Friendly staff and atmosphere and dog friendly!
Amazing customer service Steve and family thankyou. I recently came here for my daughter's birthday, and I needed to review the place because they deserve it. The service was beyond great, and the food was better than any pub food I've ever had have. For 5 to eat there it was just over £100, and we all got the fish and chips, with onion rings and cheesy garlic sauce. The sauce was the best part, paired with the onion rings, and I'd recommend it. It was a lovely family dinner and we all enjoyed it with no complaints.
We have just been to celebrate a birthday. 5 of us. Wow the food was amazing, onion rings to die for. All the dishes were cooked to perfection, good quality and presented very well. The staff were so polite and, friendly. We will definitely be returning very soon. The surroundings are so relaxing. Thank you for a lovely night.
Called in yesterday, great service, and recommended the steak deal that was on offer. Perfect, the food was cooked to perfection. We both enjoyed our meal at the ship inn.
