The main was lovely, however when it came to the desserts my friend chose the profiteroles. When they came they appeared lovely but once she started eating them they were solid on the bottom. We told the waitress who I believe was also the manager, “Trish”, she proceeded to pull them apart while’s leaning over one of the other people at the table and tell us that she “just clearly didn’t know pastry”. I found this an incredibly rude thing to say and a simple sorry I’ll replace that for you would have done! We then went down to pay and a tip was added onto our bill. We asked if it could be taken off as we didn’t wish to leave a tip. Her response to this was turning to her staff and saying “sorry guys looks like you aren’t getting a tip tonight” why would you say that in front of a customer? Almost trying to guilt trip into leaving the tip! I will not be returning here, which is a shame and all down to this one rude staff member who clearly has no respect for customers as shown. The entire experience felt rushed and unwelcoming!

BEAUTIFUL FOOD !! This restaurant has authentic Italian food , cooked to perfection and served by staff that goes the extra mile that makes you feel appreciated and welcomed, on our practical visit this time we was a little ‘ momentary over excited’ (it was the first time we saw our friends in over a year), we possibly offended the guest with our jubilance, however this has no reflection on the restaurant itself . This should not effect the restaurant, reviews or ambitions. Thank you for having us, what a lovely restaurant!!!

This is a very difficult review to write. On one hand, I loved everything about Emilio's but on the other hand, one incident ruined my whole experience and became the reason that I would never go there again. Let me start with the good stuff as there is a lot of it. The place is classy without being pretentious. The lady who received us did not make us ask for our reservations but picked us based on the info she already had and made us feel like welcome, much-awaited guests. That was a classy touch and impressed me and my friends immediately. I don't know what her role was but let's call her the manager. She was senior to the other wait staff for sure. It's not a huge place, but it's set up in a way that it's not claustrophic. The decor is mininalist elegance and works very well. I had an espresso as I needed a pick-me-up and it was up to par. There was some wait for our food but the food was worth it. All four of us had ordered different things and we were all pleased with our choices. Then the incident that marred my whole experience. My friend asked to taste my tortelloni and in the process discovered a long hair in my pasta. That was bad. I asked a waitress to replace it. She took it away. Then I realised that I could not possibly eat Tortelloni again, not just here but maybe ever again in my life. I went and asked the manager to not bother with a replacement. What is worse than finding a hair in your food? Finding out that the restaurant staff doesn't care. Not a single person said even a casual "Sorry." for it. When I report that my pasta has a hair in it, I expect the waitress to be as horrified as I am. Her first sentence should start with "I am so sorry..." What did our waitress say? "Ok." That's it. Then the manager herself came to our table and said, and I quote "I don't know how that hair got in your food because our chef is bald." Her attitude was as casual as the words make it sound. Ask me how much I care about the follicale status of your chef after finding a hair in my food. It would be below zero! When I went to tell the manager not to bother with replacing the tortelloni, she showed me the chef, the chef again pointed out his baldness and said he was preparing the replacement. When I told him not to bother, he told me they won't charge me for it. Of course, you won't charge me for it, mate! The cavalier attitude of the staff towards what I consider a major infraction, hurt me more than the incident itself. They did not even bother to offer me a replcement, if I am not having the pasta, would I care to order something else? Nobody cared. Call me selfish, but I would have liked them to care. I still did not shaft the staff, I left a 10% tip. As I have pointed out, everything except for that one incident, I liked. So, the two most important questions: 1. Would I go there again? Not in a million years. 2. Would I recommend the place. No comments. You make up your own mind.

Good food at reasonable prices in a pleasant setting. I had the veal - I always order it when I see it on a menu - which was nice. The rest of my party all had steak and said it fantastic. Desserts were good but not wow. Service was a little hectic but it was understandable as it was Saturday night.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family. The service at this Italian gem was truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and perfectly timed without ever feeling rushed. Every staff member seemed genuinely passionate about making our experience special. Now the food… wow. The pasta was clearly homemade — perfectly al dente and bursting with flavor. I had the truffle mushroom ravioli, and it was hands-down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The marinara sauce tasted like it came straight from a Nonna’s kitchen, and the tiramisu? Divine. We also appreciated the thoughtful wine recommendations, which paired beautifully with our meal. From start to finish, everything felt authentic, elevated, and full of heart. This is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Can’t wait to come back
