So despite not exactly buying or trading in a prestige vehicle I was still given celebrity treatment by Rob who was prompt and courteous with initial query and gave me a good price on my own car too. I was amazed by just how quickly the sale was done and just how effortless and efficient it was completed in just a couple of days and despite the fact that I was travelling 240 miles from Scotland I was driving away in my new vehicle in that short space of time. When I arrived I was given a very warm welcome and one of the sales staff made me a cup of tea and invited me to have a look around, I do like cars so that was an enjoyable experience in itself. The paper work was quick and super efficient and everything is clearly done to a high standard and being a family business also with pride in what they do. Now I am absolutely BUZZing to be driving my “nearly new” VW cargo van and despite this being a garage that sells Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin etc this was easily the best value vehicle in the UK. I have been driving for over 40 years and much to the annoyance of my wife have bought lots of vehicles in that time and I would say quite categorically this is the best experience I have ever had, oh, and loved the complimentary boxed bottle of wine, I shall be keeping the box as a keepsake!

Portland Autos have been known to me for a while through friends buying cars but I turned to them after being disappointed with the offers from Porsche for my Macan. Portland were by far the best offer but the service was exceptional from the initial contact with Adam on a Wednesday night getting it appraised same day & giving me the price through to the communication with Adam getting the drop off agreed. When I dropped the vehicle there was no haggling a quick bit of paperwork & I was paid while I waited & the finance was settled at the same time. Thanks to Adam & James for the excellent service.

Second time buying a car from Portland and the experience this time was exactly as the first…. Seamless and straight forward. I wanted to test drive a couple of their cars (with different engines) to allow me to make an informed choice. No problem at all, and the decision was made. A fair value on my car to trade in and the deal was done. Portland handled the private registration transfer and the car was perfect when collected.

I recently bought a car from Portland Autos and the salesman I dealt with was James Watson. From arranging my first appointment to being shown my chosen car was extremely easy and at no stage did I feel pressurised. Once we had agreed a deal, everything was sorted by James. Nothing was too much trouble and James accommodated all my requirements including explaining all the features of my new car so that as I drove away I was completely satisfied.
