I go to the gym and use other facilities occasionally. Usually greeted by a blonde woman with short hair, I believe her name is Julie, whose attitude is usually negative sarcastic and hostile. Questions are met with eye rolls and condescending faces and tone. Hopefully this is worked on so mine and plenty others’ gyms experiences are better.
We come here a lot, to play badminton and swim and use the gym as a family. All the staff are friendly and lovely apart from one woman with very short blonde hair who works in reception. Talk about a chip on her shoulder and an attitude problem. Multiple times she has been rude to me, to the point last time I actually asked her who did she think she was talking too. From asking for more milk for the hot chocolate machine to asking to replace the shuttle cock because it damaged. Very rude. We forgot our passes to open the Gym, well you would think that we had stolen money from her the way she rolled her eyes, and muttered as she walked over to let us in. The children are petrified of her. She never smiles. She clearly doesn't enjoy working there. She needs some customer service training or better still sacking. Because of this one Woman, I am considering boycotting the centre. The staff all know what she's like as numerous times friendly staff have intervened to help when she has refused.
The woman mentioned by another person on a review by the name Julie, I agree with her being rude, even throwing my receipts and card at me
Had a quick look around. Has plenty of activities available. I went for the swim/sauna(private session) as part of a naturist group swim. The pool was excellent as was the sauna. Staff were friendly. Very clean and tidy. Seems to have plenty of classes.
Great leisure centre, very friendly staff and affordable too considering everything you get for the price. My only bug bear is how crowded the pool gets because it’s not as big as Retford and Worksop. Would love to see some more pool availability like Worksop do at 3pm on Mon/Wed/Fri as might alleviate the crowding issue. Otherwise it’s a great gym with great facilities
