Top tier bike shop - looked after me generously after a crash and actually came away with a custom build bike - that’s way better than my last with their focus being getting me on a bike again asap! Great coffee, cakes and a cool vibe. My go to spot now and a strong case to support your local bike shop

I have been riding road bikes for about 10 years now and have never had a bike fit, mainly because of the cost and I was cynical about whether, for someone like me, there would be any advantage in having one. However, when Leadout opened in Bedale a few months ago, i decided to put my cynicism to one side and have one. I couldn't have been more satisfied with the result. I took a bike in that clearly wasn't meant for my level of cycling, yet Sean meticulously went through the whole process (taking about 3 hours) of assessing my capability/flexibility etc, and then adjusting the bike to my size. It was clear that the bike wasn't designed for the Yorkshire hills, but (under no pressure), Sean suggested modifications that would make my riding not only more comfortable, but more capable of riding almost anywhere. I took his advice and, was seriously blown away by the difference. Interestingly, I bought an E-Bike when I moved to Yorkshire because I knew I couldn't tackle hills on my De-Rosa. I can honestly say that I don't think i need the E-Bike anymore, the difference has been unbelievable. I cannot thank Sean enough, you have re-ignited my love of cycling again. Oh and the coffee aint bad either.

I was very disappointed with my visit. Having read a number of positive reviews, I travelled to the shop to discuss a bike fit and the purchase of a new road bike. The store itself was sparsely stocked, and despite waiting for almost 40 minutes, I was not given the opportunity to speak with the owner. During this time, he remained focused on his laptop and conversed with visiting acquaintances, despite being aware that I was waiting. Overall, I felt that my time and potential custom were not valued.

Lovely shop. Well equipped with snacks, gels, tires, tubes, and a neat café too with friendly folk and good coffee! Well worth a detour!

Got a new bike so booked in a bike fit to dial in my position - the whole process was great to go through, seeing massive improvements at each stage of the process (over 3 sessions). Sean not only used tech to find the right riding position for me, but plenty of observation and conversation to help work it all out. Really appreciate that we optimised the position allowing for my budget for new parts - got things as good as they could be, then when I could drop a bit more on new cranks etc, we then adjusted the fit to be even better. 10/10 would recommend to any cyclist who wants better position/comfort/endurance on the bike.
