Went for a birthday meal last week as a group of 7. Staff were friendly and attentive. Everybody commented on how nice their meal was. I had the beetroot risotto, it looked amazing and tasted wonderful. Well worth the money. The manager even brought us a 'happy birthday' balloon for the table. Highly recommend.
Top pub great dinner and outstanding service - didn’t stay here this time but enjoyed a room previously - Friday night GF fish and chips was fab. Big serves so maybe plate share if not that hungry otherwise highly recommend
Popped in for a meal at 4.45pm after a day at the arboretum. Discovered that we were 45mins early for meals! Staff and other customers were so friendly and enthusiastic that we stayed and waited. Glad we did! Steak pie is a real pie with bottom and sides! Great food, great staff great atmosphere.
We did not stay here but we have eaten here a few times. Steak pie,fish,gammon steak, amazing looking at other stuff being served the food is excellent and the portions really good . Home made chunky chips amazing
Such a lovely pub. Service and the Steak and ale pie were outstanding, I would highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.
