Sunnyview House Care Home - Bupa

Shocking, not impressed with the way my nanna is treat. The meals are disgusting, she was hospitalised three times due to the lack of care about the quality of food produced and she hasn’t even been in a year yet. I can’t even count on my hands the amount of times we have had to bring her a meal in from home because the food is inedible, often served cold and dry. Seems the more you complain to management regarding the issues, the less carers do for the residents. Some of the carers, claim as though they haven’t time to do certain tasks, however they can sit in the reception for three quarters of an hour doing nothing. The amount of money these residents pay and the amount of care they receive in return is utterly disappointing. Some of the residents smell, due to the lack of support with hygiene from the carers. Whether they are sat updating care plans on their phones, in my opinion, it’s unprofessional to do this in the public spaces as it looks as though they’re scrolling through Facebook. Seems like since the company is getting money from the residents, they don’t care about the quality of care.

The home is so well presented and the staff are so kind! I love the fact that residents are encouraged to live their best lives, they go out into the community and are encouraged to have hobbies in and out of the home! What a great sight to see residents having a drink a dance and a good chat!

Many individual members of staff at Sunnyview are caring and lovely people, however a few are not, and just do a job. The management left a lot to be desired. Hundreds of cigarette butts outside the front door, the kitchen area unclean and untidy...and the whole place generally lacking in organisation. Although my mother had a room with an external door she was never allowed to open it!!! My mother was cared for to a fairly reasonable standard but nothing like I expected for this level of care home. Her clothes constanly went missing in the wash, the bed linen was not particularly clean, quilts and pillows or a very poor standard. I was not impressed and my mother was only there for 7 months before she died. I would NOT recommend this care home.

THANKYOU SUNNYVIEW, OUR EXPERIENCE FROM SUNNYVIEW HAVE BEEN EVERYTHING YOU WOULD WANT AND EXPECT. MY MOTHER WAS ON CHESTER AND THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND FAULTLESS, NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND THERE CARE WAS BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. What can I say!!! Since a kid I’ve known the place as Beeston Manor and have never witnessed or heard a negative thing about it!
