I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding the conduct of a pharmacist at your branch, Mr Akbar Ali. On several occasions, I have witnessed Mr Ali speaking to other members of staff, particularly South Asian women, in a hostile and intimidating manner. The way he speaks to colleagues, including the questions he asks, is unprofessional and inappropriate for a workplace environment. These interactions are often conducted openly and can be clearly overheard by others, which has caused considerable discomfort and concern. It appears that Mr Ali behaves in this way under the assumption that he holds a position of authority. Regardless of role or seniority, this does not justify speaking to colleagues in such a manner. I am also concerned about unnecessary messages being added to patients medical records. I would like clarification as to why this is happening and whether personal or sensitive information is being accessed or recorded without a clear professional or clinical reason. Due to Mr Ali’s behaviour and continued presence, I no longer feel comfortable using this pharmacy and have since changed chemist. I believe these matters are serious and warrant a full investigation, particularly in relation to staff conduct, professionalism, and data protection. I would appreciate confirmation that this complaint has been received and details of the steps that will be taken to address these concerns.

This is the first time I visited this pharmacy didn't even realise it was at the end of my road amazing service by Fiona the pharmacist. I had a personal issue that I needed to discuss she took me into the private consultation room she was very reassuring, very informative and gave me the medication required.

Unfortunately I have had to change my previous 5 star review. Unfortunately the most amazing and lovely pharmacist Fiona left and the friendly and comfortable atmosphere left with her and it became a hostile, uncaring and difficult place due to the new pharmacist that started. From day one he started making demands that kept changing whenever he felt like it. Saying you couldn't go before 9.30am or after 5.30pm (only happened once), which then changed to 5pm, then 4.30pm. I also realised that I was best off avoiding going between 12 and 2.30pm as you couldn't be certain that he wouldn't be on his lunch break and I was told by a friend that on Fridays he would be away for an extended period of time so he could attend the mosque. He would also frequently be in his car taking personal calls when I arrived and would keep me waiting for upto 20 minutes. When he changed it once again to 4.00pm, I challenged it as it's not like he has a lot of other things to do, most repeat prescriptions get sent to the main hub to be done before arriving at this pharmacy, so I couldn't understand why he was behaving like this and told him that he can't keep changing things and was being unreasonable, only to be told to find a new pharmacy as he wouldn't dispense my prescription any more. Ive now moved to Well pharmacy and I'm really glad I did as everyone there is lovely and friendly. I've left my previous review underneath from 2 years ago, just so you can see how different it is now Very warm and friendly staff. I often have to pick up prescriptions for someone else and when I went to pick it up for him not long after he first started going there, I was very surprised to find out that they remembered that he prefers to go by his nickname instead of his first name (which he hates). It may just be a little thing, but things like that make you feel welcome and it really means a lot that they made the effort, since there aren't many other places that do (even ones who have known him for many years). I will be making sure to have my own prescriptions sent there in future since they have made such a great first impression.

There service recently has become below par, the pharmacist stays on phone like a customer service calling whom ever they are talking to, then have the gut to tell the patients/customers to wait then end up telling them to leave as they cannot be attended to because they speaking to someone whose does not required treatment over phone without considering the amount of time wasted. And the worse part is they always claim they value health not money but I found out is the other way round, they rather take money your money instead of offering a quality service, I wish they could be a better pharmacy there to support the GP surgery in that area. Please Boots and Well Pharmacy this is your chance to make a difference in that area. Pharmacy+Health - Old Lane seems not to be a good company to be working with NHS.
