Onto my second pair of Audio-technica headphones as I bought my first pair many years ago.The ATH-50 MX are in my opinion a really decent headphone considering the price. I mostly listen to 60s and 70s rock and chart music and to my ears they sound pretty good indeed. They are not bass heavy nor too bright in the treble range. My only gripe is that I must have a small head as they are a little loose fitting on me.

My sincere compliments to the customer service of Audio-Technica UK for getting the issue fixed with my premium gaming headphones that had just passed the (Dutch/European) legal warranty period. Improvement point: I'm not so happy with the support I got from AT Netherlands (Amsterdam). I do have to say the technical Support in Montfoort was very good.

Very good customer support. Had an issue with a cable that was bundled with their gaming headset and I was anxious about having to go through an RMA procedure and returning the whole headset back but they were quick to sort me out with a replacement part without all that hassle. Nice headset too!

I struggle these days to play my LP's due to having Parkinson's disease and the tremors that can come with it so buying and setting up a new cartridge was going to be a daunting task and in fact I decided against trying to fit it. Trying the local dealers was proving fruitless so wanting to keep within the sound that I was happy with at Audio-Technica I contacted them in Leeds to find a very helpful and informative staff, the purchasing procedure went on weeks 'All at my fault due to illness but AT were always there to assist me and were happy for me to take my time...resulting in me attending their office in Leeds with my deck for the cartridge to be fitted by them all at no cost to me..the staff were pleasant and kept me topped up with coffee! I now have a run in time for the cartridge but its sounding excellent at the moment and my horns are singing sweetly. Thank you. Well it is some time on now since the fitting and the cartridge is well and truly run in, a pity I can't say the same thing about the Amp....this amp cost a lot of money and has spent more time in the workshop than playing (Bryston 14Bsst) no wonder is has a 20YR Gtee THis has nothing to do with Audio Technica they remain excellent...... After only 2 years use the ear pads and headband on my ATH-M50x had deteriorated very badly so they look like they are 10 years old. I contacted Audio Technica Customer Service and they wanted £46.70 for the replacement parts, plus labour at £30/hour because the headband cover is not user replaceable. Audio Technica claim these parts are "consumable" items so only guaranteed for 3 months, but it costs nearly as much as a new set of headphones to replace them. My advice is do not buy these headphones if you don't want to replace them every 2 years. I'm going to replace them with another brand - no other headphones I have owned have deteriorated like this - I always get 5-10 years use out of a pair, e.g. Sennheiser, AKG.
