A charming village church with such a calm atmosphere. So lovely to sit and contemplate all who have passed through before. The church is open for visitors during daylight hours. It's a bit of a running joke with us that every village in this part of Yorkshire has a 12th Century church. Bempton is no exception! We've been to a couple of Sunday services and the congregation are very friendly. Can recommend the refreshments afterwards! The toilets are in the hall. There is a small car park next to the church gate. Disabled access is excellent. They have power assisted doors and a level entrance.
Been past it a few times never been in until the other day nice little church to visit

Despite the information for this church stating that it was open until 5pm we found it locked at 4.30pm. We had made a 15 mile round trip especially to visit the church so it would be nice if the times stated online were honoured by whoever is responsible for St Michael's.
Very good flower show. Lovely cake. Worth a visit for the stained glass windows
