Bessingby Holiday Cottages

We have just returned from our stay at Shepherd's cottage, we were very sad to leave. It's one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in as a family of 5. Jan & Andrew had thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The cottage was large enough for our 2yr old grandson to run about & play. The garden is heavenly, it has a small woodland area, a play area with swing, slide, seasaw, goal posts & plenty of places to sit & enjoy the birdsong. We will definitely return. We did return! This time for our Grandsons 3rd birthday in May. Once again we were not disappointed. We are already making plans to return next year.

We had a wonderful stay at Waggoner’s cottage. The garden is absolutely beautiful, our son was very happy to play on the grounds for hours. The cottage was well equipped, with all necessities available (salt, sugar, oil, tea, coffee, washing up liquid and even detergent for the washing machine). We got a warm welcome and immediately slipped into ‘holiday mode’. There is a lot to do in the area, our highlights were the Animal Park, rockpooling at Selwick Bay on Flambourough head, the local swimming pool and rock making at John Bull. We will definitely come back to Bessingby!!!

Absolutely love this place ,our tenth visit. Peaceful relaxing location ,but only short drive to nearest supermarket etc. Ten minutes to Bridlington town centre and attractions. The owners are a delight couple ,who have thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant one. The cottages are immaculate, clean tidy, comfortable with everything g you need for self catering.

It was very clean and cosy . It had everything we needed and it was 7 minutes from Bridlington . On the down side the draw front fell off in the single room and the second twin room was very small, not really big enough for two adults. The host was extremely friendly.

Very good cottages for a holiday. We have used both cottages over the last six years.there is a 2 bedroom and a3 bedroom cottage.all fitted out with everything you need.very clean and always being updated. Also a big garden for relaxing.
