A lovely quaint pub, loads of atmosphere . We had food which was well presented and wholesome. With a very good selection of hand pulled beers. Lovers place, if your going to Beverley market i suggest you give them a try, thanks M&J
I booked the queens head to celebrate my sons engadgement with all my family we arrived early to decorate the area which we was told we could do we could only decorate half the area as there was people sat there they didn't leave until 2.30 so we didnt get chance to decorate as my family had already started to arrive we also had other customers coming in the area we had booked which we had to keep telling them to move which spoilt the atmosphere we also asked for the afternoon teas to be placed together on one large table which wasn't done it was just all plonked all over no thought as to how it was set out we also didn't get teas and coffees offered which was included in the price until we asked for it i think this should be set up so you can help yourself i could see they was busy which I do understand but I feel we was just forgotten intotal we paid £294 for afternoon tea which works out £14 per person but online it says £10 which i don't understand and I will be enquiring about the afternoon tea was delicious we enjoyed the food just everything else let it down i wouldn't recommend or go again
Good food for the price. Large portions and quality was good for the price. Drinks good price too. Quick food service. Being addressed as "fella" by the man on the bar not at all enjoyable experience. Shame as it spoilt the visit. The rest of the staff were decent.
Great pub. Good amount of seating. Toilets are clean and presentable. The staff are very friendly and quick. Very good visit.
The staff could not have been more friendly, the dinner was very tasty and at a good price. The reason for 4 stars is the amount of food that was wasted. Portion sizes were just too big for most of my family. If going, ask for a smaller dinner but well worth a look
