Asked a complete stranger to recommend a nice coffee shop and they said Chugg by the station. Glad we asked this place was great! Quiet when we visited but judging by the layout and phone charging points ideal for commuters using the station. I had a hot chocolate and lemon drizzle cake both of which were excellent. My partner ordered hot chocolate and a croissant, which was cooked fresh. Served with butter and Jam, she loved them too. Great spot , great food and great service what a find .
Excellent service! The staff are so welcoming. The food was delicious. I had the pizza bagel. Such a lovely place to meet up with people but also plenty of space if you enjoy your own company or want to catch up with work too. Highly recommend a visit!
Recently re-opened, this cafe is going from strength to strength. I visited late Saturday morning when there was a steady flow of customers; during the week it is apparently popular with laptop users which is great as there’s an abundance of sockets and the WiFi is free! The decor is lovely; it’s light, bright and spacious with a range of seating including high stools and benches. There are also high chairs available and outside there is a lovely seating area. There is a slight lip to the entrance, rather than a step, so accessible for pushchairs etc and some wheelchairs. There are disabled toilet facilities. Approximately 50% of the floor space is level; the other part is slightly raised. The coffee was very good and the cakes looked amazing! What makes Quills a bit different and worth a visit? Locally roasted coffee Free WiFi Extended opening hours - think early morning running for the train when you desperately need coffee and something to eat The cakes! Quirky decor The Jack Kerowac bagel Fab and friendly staff… So much better than going to one of the chain coffee shops. Highly recommended!
As an Aussie in the uk this is as close to Melbourne coffee as you get, strong, made properly and barista Dan knows his shit! Choc orange cookie soft and generously filled with chocolate, Emily is a bloody good baker. Will be returning when I’m back on this side of the globe
I nipped in for a takeaway coffee today, to take on the train with me. What great service and a lovely looking coffee shop. My coffee was amazing, I shall return
