Can't review the food as unfortunately, despite being next in the queue the three staff couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me, explain why they weren't actually serving any food or how long it would be before they could serve me. Zero eye contact, no greetings, appalling. Would possibly visit again but have no idea if they would bother to serve me . Bit bizarre really Edit, I nearly forgot. Gentlemen dealing with the hot food was pushing it around with his bare hands rather than using utensils. Nice!

Always go off reviews in a new location and having just moved to the area and more or less completed the house, we were starving and could have eaten anything within reason. Reviews for Stuarts of Driffield seemed good. We ordered fish and chips and whilst waiting for the fish to be cooked and seeing the other fish that came out, the batter looked like the fish was overcooked but you don't know till you have your own to eat. Having driven back to the house and unpacked onto a plate, disappointment was all that met us from this point on. Both the fish and the chips looked like they had been cooked in fat rather than oil, the food was dripping with the stuff. Most of the chips were slightly under cooked and bland, the fish was horrendous; batter as suspected was overcooked which had dried out the fish. I would like to say its the worst fish i have ever had but a shop in Stranraar gets that medal. The fish was a really thin fillet for both me and my wife which is probably why I think the fish was so dry. Taste awful and not somewhere i would ever go back. For a fish and chip shop the menu is really small and does not offer that much and whilst i accept others may disagree, i can only review what we got.

We had fish and chips twice. Never again. Fish not fully cooked. Batter very soft. Chips cold and mostly hard. Tried eating the food but fish and chips had no taste. So had to throw in bin.
