Greenwood Avenue Surgery

I would be very hesitant in signing up with this organisation. I am not a patient at this business but my child is. I am long split from the mother of our child and there is a full 50/50 care order. Following difficulties accessing medical information about my child I initiated a FOI request, eventually the details came through and indeed there was information that was needed by me. After the FOI this group initiated a process to exclude me from accessing medical information about my child, this group will no longer supply medical information even under FOI (14 years old). I have found them impossible to contact, no single contact and very reluctant to do anything. I didn’t think any organisation could work like this is this day and age but apparently Greengates can! Take my advice, find another GO’s outside this group!

Avoid like the plague Had different gp's everytime that each one diagnosed my condition differently. I asked to be referred to a specialist which they didn't do and had "another go at guessing my issue" 10 months on - now left the practice and have gone elsewhere - where you can make an appointment and see a gp without any hassle and within a couple of days as opposed to weeks

The doctors and medical staff are fine. However, the appointment booking service is completely broken. When told to call on a particular date to see the doctor of my choice, I called at 8am. When my call was answered at 8:04, there were no appointments left for that doctor. I got no sensible reply when I asked how all the available appointments had gone so quickly. The practice manager, Caroline Maw will only engage with patients by email, which is ridiculous. I think she really doesn't care about the poor service this practice provides.

I waited 7 weeks to see a particular doctor (the only good one) only for him to be absent the day of my appointment, the replacement dr hmm hmmm'd all over my talking then completely dismissed me. I have started choking and have been hospitalized with blocked airways, this doctor just said I was wasting her time and to.see the asthma nurse. I made an appointment with the asthma nurse who cancelled on the morning, I made another appointment(getting desperate now) she cancelled again. I just want a surgery that sees its patients and listens. The physiotherapist is another one that talks all over you, doesn't listen and as a result causes further damage.

Normally attend Walkergate, but was happy to attend here. Waited a week for appointment, which was fine as non urgent. No issues with reception. Dr Kallay was attentive, approachable and knowledgeable about the medication I'd come to discuss. A pleasant experience.
