Whether you're local or a visitor to Beverley, this should be your No1 place to see. Apart from the beautiful building, there is a wealth of information about the history of Beverley and the East Riding.
Lovely historical building with many interesting items and areas to explore, nice interactive elements and was given a great orientation to the spaces by Jill! 👍
Amazing really. Good interesting place use. To be the old court and apparently there are the old cells under the Guildhall but. Have now been blocked off but. Still the bars show. This building is known to be haunted. 😊 Really good building recommend going. Really. Interesting
Free admission. Only open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Grade 1 listed building. Dates from 1320. The courtroom has a real wow factor, its Rococo style stucco ceiling was done by Giuseppe Cortese in the 18th century. It is a quite stunning, very elegant building and worth going to see. The courtroom is the jewel in the crown, but there are two other rooms upstairs and more rooms downstairs exhibiting local history and information. The two Doric columns supporting the public gallery in the courtroom were designed for Beverley Minster originally. Glad it was open when I visited, as hadn't been here before on previous visits.
A really decent building👍
