Wow! Attended the wonderful event last night, The Over Tones at Christmas! The event was flawless, Birdsall House is stunning. While this is a stately home, it is very much a family home, with a warm and charming feeling. The entire team worked to make this such a special event. The Over Tones were charming and highly entertaining. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married, hold a private event or attend an event.

Highly recommended and well worth the visit. I recently set up a wedding networking group in York (York Wedding Network) and Kara couldn't have been any more welcoming. Kara and her team are fantastic with great hospitality. This venue is well worth a visit and is defiantly a venue to add to your wedding venues.

A most enjoyable event at Birdsall House, Great cocktails in the fabulous Old Kitchen (love the decor & atmosphere!) and then a thoroughly entertaining evening with Nadya . A unique experience in glorious surroundings, highly recommend.

We had our wedding at Birdsall House on 14th June 2025 and simply cannot find the words to capture the magic of Birdsall, or to articulate how grateful we are that we were fortunate enough to have our wedding here. Our wedding was perfect in every way and wouldn’t have been the same had it been anywhere else. Everything about having your wedding here is wonderful, we’ve never known somewhere to feel so welcoming and exactly like home, yet to be such a grand stately home, but that’s down to the amazing team and wonderful Willoughby family. We booked our wedding in 2023 and had such a special time getting to know Cara, Harriet and all of the team that make Birdsall weddings so special. Even with a power cut thrown into the mix our wedding weekend ran without a hitch! We knew Birdsall House was special from the very first time we visited and it will forever hold a very important place in our hearts. Everyone keeps saying to us that they have never been to a wedding like ours and a huge part of that is down to everyone at Birdsall House, thank you doesn’t even come close to capturing how grateful we are. We can’t wait to come back!
