Popped in for a snack on the way to a rugby game. Friendly welcome, lovely place, and the food was amazing! I’d recommend the fish finger sandwich, and share the hand cut chips as the portions are very generous!
We booked the venue for a family meal. We live nowhere near, but the reviews were very encouraging and food pics really enticing. Well we were very happy customers. From the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly and engaging staff, the prompt but not rushed service and the fantastic food. All pics were a true reflection on what we received. Portions were great, flavours and presentation. The prices were very reasonable too. Oh, trust me, don't miss desert...... Great portions and tasty... Go, eat, drink and enjoy.....
Nice local pub! Cute and cosy, staff are nice. Service is generally slow each time we come. I would say compared to the other bradfield pubs it’s just not as good! Expensive and small portions in comparison! Im a size 8 women and the normal main meal lasagne was tiny… and was £16. Equally it was one layer of mince with one piece of pasta on top and some cheese so not much of a lasagne really. What was there was tasty but I wanted a double portion to actually be satisfied if I’m honest.
Decent pub, great staff, nice relaxed atmosphere and dog friendly. The food is great, especially the pies. I recently had the steak and stilton pie and it was delicious! This prices are a bit high IMO but the drinks (including alcoholic drinks) are very reasonable, so on balance the prices are fair. The staff seem to know everyone and if you've got a dog with you, they're quick to ask if you need a water bowl. For me personally, I wish they had some craft beer on tap. A nice IPA or session lager. It's a Bradfield Brewery pub so there's plenty of cask ales, a Bradfield lager which is OK plus boring old Carlsberg. They're missing a nice IPA in my opinion, surely craft beers are popular enough these days that Bradfield can make an IPA, every pub in Sheffield has at least a Punk IPA, or even a Camden Hells. They have a large beer garden at the back and plenty of benches at the front. It gets very busy when the sun is out. If they had some better lagers or an IPA, King and Miller would be a 5* pub all day long!
arrived 12:45pm on thursday,The place only had a few customers. the menu was basic. we ordered cottage pies and come with pint of farmers ale, it only cost £12.50. cottage pie was no resemble supposed to be. the sticky toffee pudding was good and particular came wth extra custard, cost £4.95.
