Fantastic food and great service with a smile. Not a budget option, especially given the the area, but it's fantastic for a special meal. They di however, do a 3 course kids menu for £10 which is great! Lovely decor and vibe, but it was so hot in there on Wednesday night that we were actually uncomfortable, hence the 3/5 for atmosphere. Have returned many times now and I'm sure I will again.
5 stars for everything! This restaurant was an amazing experience for me and my partner to say the least. He booked this for my birthday and everything was just perfect from the minute we sat down to the minute we left! Outstanding service from our waitress which I didn’t catch her name but she checked back on us consistently, attention was always caught straight away if we needed anything, perfect timing when asking if we would like anything else and clearing plates etc. fresh cutlery was bought over for each course. The food was very tasty and freshly cooked which the prices definitely match the quality. They made it special for us by bringing out a cake for my birthday at the end of our meal. Lastly the atmosphere in Pontis was lovely and the area it’s located in is also very lovely. Absolutely nothing I can fault from our experience here. Thank you to the team at Pontis. 100% recommend 😊
Being the only proper restaurant in the tiny village of Stocksbridge this place is always busy but the food should be much better given how expensive it is. The dishes were well made but the quality of the chicken and meat wasn’t great both of us had gristle in our mouths which wasn’t pleasant, and more of everything except the pasta was needed. Quite a mediocre experience and probably wouldn’t go again - Zorros opposite is better in some ways because at least you don’t pay a fortune and then be disappointed. The girl that served us was lovely and helpful and ambiance is great.
Visited on Saturday 13th September for my birthday and we had lily serving us she was lovely and a credit too you, food was amazing too thank you
Mostly lettuce only salad, that was a main meal... yes main. Cold burnt pizza & small chips that where sold as roast potatoes. Avoid especially if you are vegan. This is a poor standard and we where given 10% off. Apparently we didn't complain in the right way. It was a bit confusing. Our waitress was lovely though. Wouldn't go back
