It’s a shame to have to say but will not be ordering from here again. And if I could leave ZERO stars I would. The food isn’t that great and the customer service you receive when you try and make a complaint is even worse. We ordered on New Years Eve, now I understand just how busy it must have been for them having working in hospitality myself I know just how rushed off their feet they can be. But when we ordered we were told it would be an hour and 20 minutes to begin with. We ended up having to wait almost 2 hours and when the food did finally arrive it was cold. Inedible cold slop really with the only flavour in the tikka masala being coconut. I’ve called up the next day and when I asked to speak to a manager over the phone was spoken by a rude individual asking me why I wanted to speak to him and huffed and puffed when passing the phone over. Who I then assume was the manager had a conversation with me where he was apologising at first and said he’d never been that busy in all the years he’s had the restaurant offered me a 30% discount then a 50% discount and when I told him I had no interest in being a returning customer he continued to tell me he had the best restaurant in Stocksbridge and I was wrong and my food was not cold when I received it. I can assure you it was. The whole time I was trying to speak with who I’m assuming was the manager he was talking over me not listening to anything I was saying to him…just simple waffling on about how his restaurant is good and my food wasn’t cold…he’s the best restaurant in Stocksbridge etc. Well I’m new to the area this is the first and the last time I’ll order from here we won’t be ordering again. How this restaurant has managed to stay is business the length of time he was telling me I don’t know if that’s the food standards they have and how they deal with complaints. There’s far better takeaways and restaurants in Stocksbridge and this certainly isn’t one of them. Wouldn’t waste your money eating here or ordering a takeaway from here the Greek restaurant is much better! Gorgeous hot food full of flavour and the staff and really nice and friendly. If you want an Indian I’d recommend just going out of Stocksbridge a little there’s much nicer Indians not far from Stocksbridge that won’t disappoint and where you won’t be told you’re wrong when you complain.
They have a good chef the food is fresh and tasty the portion sizes for takeaway are a bit on the small side especially the mixed kebab for the price you pay. If you want delivery my advice is book your delivery for at least 1 hour before you want it ours came cold and 50 minutes late
this place has played on my heart strings since the last time I went was excellent food GOOD service bit tonight terrible nearly walked out had the normal starters which was nearly as bad as the service, but more upsetting they couldn't do a traditional barji. plain bland just shocking food was salty won't rush back shame had this place its back but not now.... Will and not come back
If I could give it 0 stars I would. We ordered a takeaway we were told it would be around 45 minutes for delivery. After an hour nothing had arrived. 4 phone calls later after 2 hours the cold food finally arrived. What we received was disgusting king Prawn korma was just slops. This used to be a really nice place to go to or have takeaway from but I doubt we will be having their food any time soon!!!
First time here and we had a lovely night, food was great and staff polite. Would definitely recommend, only put 4* for atmosphere as we were in early, I imagine on an evening it would be busy, however the food made up for it!
