The Greek Street Stocksbridge

This small Greek restaurant is situated on the main road through Stocksbridge. You will need to park on the road outside (opposite the restaurant) which is free from 6,30 pm. They serve takeaway downstairs, but upstairs is a small restaurant that is clean and intimate. Sure the view out of the window isn't great but you can't have everything. Four of us went and were served by Melly throughout the evening. Melly was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the meals that we ordered. I had Garlic Mushrooms for starters and Mixed Grill for main, To be honest you didn't need to starters as the main was quite large. I have attached pictures of the Mixed grill for three and a mixed salad and also dips and bread. The food was delivered without having to wait long, it was hot, delicious and plenty of it. Lamb chop, pork, kebab, sausage were all way above par. The salad was well presented and wasn't just lettuce which you often get in other outlets. We didn't finish it all so Melly boxed it up for us for the next days lunch. All in all I would recommend this place to everyone, brilliant.

Great food and not expensive. Took a random punt for my birthday meal with friends. I had seen the place when driving past and thought 'why not? I like greek food' so I booked a table for 6 and told my friends I had no idea what it was like and did not know anyone who had been. What a great meal, everyone one of us loved the food, it was delicious and the portions were generous. My friends said they would be bringing family back. We loved the premium quality Ouzo at the end of the meal, going for the 200ml bottle to share around. All in all a great night.....thank you

Just had a wonderful meal with friends. The food was great so tasty. The house wine is very nice. Meli is so kind and helpful. The room is warm and cosy with lovely background music. Thank you everyone at the Greek Street.

This place was recommended by the hotel I was staying at down the road that didn’t serve food and it was so good I went back again the next night as well. I love Greek food and this was some of the best I’ve had outside of Greece itself. It’s a takeaway downstairs and a nice restaurant upstairs. Had a mixed souvlaki one night and then Lamb Kelftico the next with the one of their homemade traditional desserts. A great recommendation

We ordered a mixture of chicken gyro and halloumi wraps, and a mixed kebab main. The pittas and tzatziki were so fresh and rich. Everything about our food was amazing. We will definitely be ordering again and thoroughly recommend.
