It's quite expensive to park at £15 per car but the scenery is lovely. The weather has been quite bad so we wasn't able to cross the stepping stones as the water was too high. The paths were quite well maintained and the grounds were tidy. There's a couple of bits of play equipment that are well maintained for smaller children to play on. There's a few wishing trees scattered around with coins hammered into them.

It is a really beautiful and peaceful place. It was a total surprise on how nice it is. The church itself is beautiful, but the ruins are something else. Go across the bridge and explore the grounds. If you are brave enough, try going across the stepping stones. The parking was a little expensive. A little shop in the village selling the usual souvenirs. A great day out.

There may only be ruins left of this spectacular building, but what is left gives you a feeling of what was there back in its glory days and the spender and sheer size of the building. there are some marvellous walks along the riverbanks. it is dog-friendly, don't forget there are two tea rooms on-site the one I was in was great, I am sure that they are both good.

Love the area. The Abbey is pretty, the river was in full flow today and stepping stones were not visible. Great walk up to Simons Seat and back. Parking is expensive but if you stay for a full day understandable.
