Great pub, food is delicious, both Bozza Fodder & Sunday Carvery by the wonderful Raf. Kyah & Vikki are always behind the bar with a big smile on their faces and the best customer service (not forgetting all other team members) 10/10 recommended. So much so we ended up buying a house in Boroughbridge as we love this pub and are made to feel very welcome every visit! 🥰

I recently went here for a wedding reception where a carvery had been laid on. The food was superb, probably the best I have ever had! Choice of Beef or Pork (I took some of each), and was bowled over by the quality. Tasty, moist, perfect crackling and with all the sides you could possibly think of. The chef is a credit to the establishment. The staff, throughout, we're friendly, helpful with plenty of smiles which added to the already pleasant atmosphere. There was plenty of space for everyone to either stand or sit and this includes the regular customers. I thought the pricing was very good for both food and drink. I would definitely return and would urge anyone in the area to check out their service/opening times. As a separate sideline to the pub, they have a full takeaway service with pizzas, burgers and much more. I haven't tried this but it is certainly worth noting.

We went for a 60th Surprise Birthday Party. There was a seperate room and a 2 man band and dj set up. The service was impeccable! Great bar service and tables were cleared regularly. The pulled pork sandwiches and roasties were 👌. This place has a clear friendly setup with the locals and are very welcoming to folks visiting the village! Thank you.

The Sunday carvery was excellent from start to finish. I chose the roasted pork loin and it was cooked perfectly with tender slices and a crisp crackling. The roast potatoes were golden on the outside and soft inside, the cauliflower cheese was rich and creamy, and the greens were fresh and full of flavour. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and just right with plenty of gravy to bring everything together. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service friendly, and the portions generous. It felt like a proper home-cooked Sunday roast made with care. Great value for money and a place I will be coming back to again.
