Was passing through Boroughbridge and decided to stop here for lunch. When we finally got to order lunch to take out (two paninis two coffee) the service was very rude and blunt by the older lady behind the counter. Didn’t smile once and barely spoke. Had to wait 20 minutes (bear in mind it wasn’t that busy) for what we ordered outside in the rain as there was not enough room for even 3 people in there. When we were finally given our order the coffees were cold and the paninis were hard and thrown into some paper and just scrunched up. They weren’t very tasty either. Really disappointed as these types of cafes are normally such a pleasure. Definitely will not be returning.

Delicious with a capital "D". Friendly, happy staff and truly scrumptious food. I had salted beef with roasted onions and pickle in a soft granary roll served with a small green salad, homemade coleslaw and corn crisps. Extremely tasty and filling and very moderately priced. The coffee was also very good! Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the choices of other food and beverages looked equally appealing. What's more it is a dog friendly establishment which is very nice to see. Centrally located in Boroughbridge and although there didn't look to be any dedicated parking at the shop there is plenty of good free parking near by. I will definitely be returning and would advise anyone to give this little gem a try. Update February 2022… Have recently visited this great cafe again and was not disappointed at all. I am truly delighted to say that my previous comments stand and that the service and quality of food are just as good. I’m also pleased to say that it would appear that they are as busy as ever which can only be a sign of just how good they are. Definitely pay them a visit. Update August 2023... Superb, friendly, warm service as ever. Food is still top notch. What more can I say...

We visited Boroughbridge and called here as it was listed on Happy Cow as having good vegan options. Not so, options were VERY limited and I ended up having no lunch and settling for a very average (and standard for a vegan offering) flapjack and a coffee. But the thing that upset me the most was 50p for a thimbleful of oat milk. FIFTY!!
