A lovely, genuine village pub with a loyal following of locals and great staff. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and three wonderful dogs who add to the charm! The beer was pretty good too.

A rare find: a lovely pub which has a lovely interior with log fires and great real ale. One of the few pubs that hasn’t been transformed into a ‘posh country restaurant.’

Absolutely beautiful traditional pub we spotted it as we drove by and even from the outside it felt like it was our kind of place…we weren’t wrong. Log fires with a homely atmosphere, although we aren’t from the area we felt welcomed. Most certainly recommend this pub, so cozy and the owner was lovely. Also as a side note: Dog friendly 👍🏼

Real fire, real wooden beams, real ale, really dog friendly & a very warm welcome real old pub. Food was awesome, best Gammon steak ever & house Curry. Very relaxed atmosphere, highly recommend a visit, book a table to avoid disappointment 👍

So. This is a drinker's pub. A real local. I'm sure it can be welcoming to outsiders (it advertised on the main roads), but the locals were all sat in one room, and silence fell upon the room when we entered. The landlord was a friendly chap, with 2 lovely dogs and a cat, so the overall feel was fine. The interior is very oldy-weldy style, and charming to be in. Just don't sit in the wrong seat. The beer selection was good if not limited to a few ales (I know that's not a limited selection but the interior is good enough for me to spend hours in there so having 6+ would have been better!)
