Sadly, this store needs a lot of work. The main issues are around cleanliness and hygiene. The store isn't clean and I haven't bought unpackaged food from there in a long time. This evening I nipped in for a quick meal and bought some tortellini. I've just seen whilst cooking it that the use by date is the 12th November, 7 days expired! A good job I checked or I could have had food poisoning. This happened last year when I bought salmon fillets, got all the way home to see the expiry date was several days prior. Sort it out costcutter, you're going to make someone ill!

I had honestly hoped that after the change in management the shop would have gotten itself together but since the shop changed hands it has gone down the drain much to my dismay, the new manager chris has left our once beloved local corner shop to the whims of fate and minimum wage employees, i am not the type of man to leave such a scathing review however i feel it’s important for all to know what a circus this place has become, in between long queues and low stock it is no longer worth visiting the evri parcels are in an even worse state than ever before both the staff and customers seem frustrated and extremely dissatisfied by this new joke of a manager.

I only recently found out, by chance, that this store has a deli. As a heating engineer I often find myself trying to decide where to buy my lunch from. Whenever I am in the Boston Spa area at lunch time I now always go to Costcutter. They have a great selection of home made specials that change daily. Today I had sausage casserole, which was excellent.... And their home made sausage rolls are the best I have ever tasted. Unlike most others where you have to search hard to find the meat, these ones are packed full of meat. I would go as far as saying they are potentially competition winning sausage rolls, they are that good. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. I'm so glad I have found this hidden gem.

This shop should not have a click n collect service. They start to serve you then decide to serve another customer half way through. Having paid for a click n collect service with John Lewis I expect the shop assistant to find the items I've ordered. I do not expect to get on the floor looking through a pile of parcels myself when I have a disability. Total rubbish!

A local shop with a good selection of items you normally find in large chain supermarkets. A nice delicatessen counter which at times sells fresh sandwiches is a plus. Down side, is the cash machine has never any money available.
