The Fleece Inn

About

Description

The Fleece Inn's Calderdale location is truly like no other! The 18th century Inn is sat atop Ripponden Bank, with panoramic views of the Ryburn Valley stretching for miles.

Head Chef, Mark Parkinson, and his team have created menus using the freshest, seasonal produce from the region. Their meat, game and poultry is from Yorkshire and Lancashire, whilst their fish is caught off the nearest coasts.

Their modern Yorkshire style of cooking sees every dish made from fresh within the kitchen. Time and care has been given to every plate of food brought to the table, no matter how large or small.

Some of their stand out dishes include Dry Aged Fillet of Beef Wellington with spinach, haggis and truffle oil mash, or the Fleece Fish Stew with cod, salmon, monkfish, king prawns and mussels in a shellfish bisque.

Menu offerings include their a la carte menu which runs from Monday - Saturday, a midweek fixed price menu, offering two courses for £12 and three for £15, as well as the ever popular Sunday menu priced at £11 for one course, £14 for two, and £17 for three

The pub at The Fleece offers locally brewed cask ales (strictly so!), lagers, stouts and ciders and a rather good wine list too. What’s more, their wines were selected with a little help from award winning merchants, House of Townend.

The Fleece has a purpose built restaurant and function suite with stunning views down the valley. There is also a more traditional pub area, with a coal burning fire and restored furniture.
