Le Bistro Des Amis is situated in the beautiful market town of Skipton in North Yorkshire. Our cosy, laid back atmosphere and tasty food means we’re the perfect place to pop in for a coffee or beer or linger over a full three-course dinner. Our Franco/Yorkshire twist means that we serve classic French dishes alongside some British favourites and modern European cuisine. We source our ingredients locally or from famous French markets because we believe top quality produce speaks for itself. Our staff are friendly and efficient so whether you’re out with friends, family or just popping out on your own, come meet our welcoming team, relax and enjoy the flavours. We feel truly honoured to have become a firm favourite with the locals since we opened in December 2010. The restaurant has thrived on our ethos of ‘everyone’s welcome’ by ensuring that customers are comfortable here whatever the occasion. We hope you can relax in our homely atmosphere and savour the flavours we provide. And why not bring the kids to enjoy it too? We provide a full menu for ‘les petits amis’. We have a variety of choices on our menus. Not only so we serve French food such as French Onion Soup and Beef Bourguignon, but you can also be guaranteed a sumptuous Sunday Roast or a tasty sandwich if you just want a snack. Or fancy something a little more unusual? Why not try our Organic Salmon Whitebait or our Cod with Shrimp and Coriander Risotto? We also have a ‘menu du jour’ for those wanting an early sitting. Finally, take a look at our specials boards – these dishes will always include fresh fish delivered by our local supplier. We think you’ll enjoy our wine list too. Everything – from the humble house wines to the most prestigious bottles are carefully handpicked for their delicious taste. And we offer many other drinks as well – from rich, smooth coffee to the popular French tipple, Pastis. Our restaurant is split over three areas – the bar area downstairs, the comfortable dining room upstairs and a beautiful mezzanine in between – the perfect setting for a private party or business meeting with the full bistro atmosphere. Our French chef and patron, Luc Daguzan, has built up a hard-working and friendly team who are all in their element here, welcoming locals and visitors alike. They are all truly passionate about the food and how it is served and enjoyed and we believe you can taste that passion in our food.
