We celebrated our son's 18th birthday at MYNK and it was truly a memorable and special experience from start to finish. From the moment we first visited to enquire about exclusive hire, the owners were incredibly hospitable — welcoming us warmly and even inviting us to sample the food. Their generosity and genuine care set the tone for what became a beautiful afternoon. We had exclusive use of the venue on a Saturday before it opened to the public, which made the atmosphere relaxed and intimate. The brothers offered us a very fair price, and the food was exceptional — from the appetisers and mains to the drinks and tea, everything was of a high standard and served in generous portions. We were even able to take home the delicious leftovers! The team went above and beyond, allowing us to decorate the space and use a charming little section designed for birthday celebrations. They were attentive throughout, even offering to help with the decorations — a gesture we truly appreciated. It was clear that the owner genuinely cared about making the day special for everyone involved. MYNK itself is full of quirky, picturesque touches — the angel, the blossom tree, the panda — all adding to the unique charm of the space. These features made for some fantastic photo opportunities, which we took full advantage of. The vibe was relaxed and joyful, with plenty of room for children to move around and guests to mingle comfortably. Our son had a wonderful time, as did all our guests. The mood, the setting, the food, and above all, the care and attention from the staff made this celebration unforgettable. Excellent value for money — I’d give it six stars if I could.

We went to this restaurant on Sunday 5th October 2025 during the evening. It was a pleasant experience and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. The decor inside the restaurant was very vibrant and colourful and it did have a feel good feeling about it. Clearly a lot of work and dedication has gone in to making the restaurant presentable. We ordered a houmous which came with bread for starters and for mains we ordered 2 chicken steaks with mash and fries. And additionally we ordered a mac 'n' cheese. The houmous was okay perhaps a little blend and the bread was a little oily. The Mac 'n' Cheese was a little blend and it lacked bit of taste. The chicken steak and the sides were lovely and cooked very well. We did enjoy the mains. We also ordered a mocktail which was very flavoursome. Overall the staff were fantastic and served us with a smile which was great. The food was okay with some room for improvement and the restaurant itself is pretty and well maintained.

A £322 Lesson in How Not to Run a Steakhouse We booked Mynk Steakhouse in Bradford for a birthday dinner at 6:30pm on a Sunday because of its 4.7-star rating and the image it projects. What we experienced instead was a textbook example of how hype, presentation and social media can completely mask a poorly executed restaurant operation. Let’s be very clear: this was not a bad night — this was a badly run restaurant. The room: impressive… and that’s where it ends. Yes, the venue is beautiful. Moody lighting, modern decor, very “Instagram”. But atmosphere does not feed guests. Execution does. Starters: expensive, careless and frankly insulting We ordered: Dynamite King Prawns — £15 for four pieces. That is *£3.50 per prawn*. At that price point I expect theatre, craft, and flavour. What we received was four prawns drowning in what tasted like cheap supermarket spicy mayonnaise passed off as “dynamite sauce”. No heat. No complexity. No excuse. Dynamite Chicken — same sauce, same problem. Panko Halloumi with Cherry Jam — acceptable, but nothing memorable. After handling sticky prawns and chicken, there were no hand wipes anywhere. Not offered. Not on the table. Not available. This is basic hospitality. Basic. And it was completely absent. Menu management: inexcusable errors. By 6:30pm on a Sunday, the following were already unavailable: * Chateaubriand * Wagyu sirloin * All but one fillet steak & one tomahawk This is a steakhouse. These are core cuts. Running out of them at that time of day is not unfortunate — it is operational failure. The tomahawk incident: the moment confidence collapsed... We ordered the last tomahawk. Shortly after aerving started for the rest of the table, the chef came to tell us it had a “smell” and he was not prepared to serve it. Think about that. A premium steakhouse purporting a premium £80 cut of meat only to discover its questionable state during dinner service. We were then told that the replacement sirloin would be free of charge. Then the bill arrived — and the replacement steak had been added anyway. We had to challenge it and have it removed. It was not. That is not a minor error. That is the kind of mistake that finishes an evening. Organisation: nonexistent. Our side plates arrived after the starters. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how the service was being managed. Portions: nowhere near the price point Despite what the reviews claim, the portions are not substantial. The largest plate on the table was the full peri peri chicken — in a steakhouse. Final reality The final bill: £322. For that money we received: * Disorganised service * Missing core menu items * Questionable meat * Billing errors * Poor value food * And a dining experience unworthy of the price or the rating This was meant to be a birthday celebration. Instead, it became a case study in how presentation can disguise severe mediocrity. Mynk Steakhouse is selling an image, not an experience. And based on our visit, the 4.7-star rating is deeply misleading. We left with three words that summarise the night perfectly: Underwhelmed. Overcharged. Disappointed. Update: Following the restaurant’s public response to this review, I would like to clarify that my account reflects the experience exactly as it occurred. Several of the issues raised — including limited menu availability, the withdrawal of the tomahawk due to a quality concern, the absence of hand wipes, service sequencing and the need to correct the bill after the replacement steak appeared on it despite being described as free of charge — are confirmed in their own reply. What is concerning is a business choosing sarcasm, personal commentary and assumptions about a guest’s motives instead of acknowledging that different customers can walk away with different impressions — especially after spending £322. I stand by my original assessment.

First time visiting MYNK, and I was honestly blown away! Firstly, a big shoutout to Faizan, the front-of-house team member, who was incredibly hospitable and had such a warm smile while serving us. He kindly recommended a range of dishes for us to try since it was our first visit, and he even checked in a few times throughout the meal to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food itself was absolutely lovely. I ordered a medium ribeye steak, and that’s exactly what I got — perfectly seared, beautifully pink inside, and it melted in my mouth like butter. The platter, which included prawns, halloumi bites, lamb chops, and chicken skewers, was fantastic — a real feast that easily feeds two people. The portions were generous, the prawns were juicy, and the lamb chops were pure perfection: delicate, tender, and bursting with flavour. It’s clear that MYNK uses high-quality meats, and as someone who’s very picky about food, I can confidently say this place is now one of my go-to spots. I’ll definitely be visiting again and highly recommend others give it a try too!
