Maintenance Manager
<p>We are working with a well-established and growing heavy industry business who are looking to appoint a Maintenance Manager with an electrical bias to support and drive reliability across their site operations.</p> <p>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with management experience ready to step up into management, or an existing Maintenance Manager who still enjoys being hands-on with equipment and fault finding.</p> <p>Reporting into the Operations/Engineering Lead, you will take ownership of the site’s maintenance function, ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency, and safety across all electrical systems and associated equipment.</p> <p>This is a split role, combining leadership responsibilities with practical, on-the-tools involvement when required.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead, coach and develop a small team of multi-skilled engineers</li><li>Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities (PPM & reactive)</li><li>Drive a proactive maintenance culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement</li><li>Manage maintenance budgets, spares, and contractor activity</li><li>Ensure all work is carried out in line with HSE and compliance standards</li><li>Fault finding, diagnostics and repair of electrical systems and machinery</li><li>Support breakdowns and critical failures when needed</li><li>Work on PLCs, drives, control panels, and automation systems</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency</li><li>Assist with installations, upgrades, and project work</li><li>Strong background as an Electrical Engineer within heavy manufacturing industry experience</li><li>Experience with industrial electrical systems, control panels, and fault finding</li><li>Previous leadership/supervisory experience or ready to step up into a management role</li><li>Comfortable balancing desk-based planning with hands-on engineering work</li><li>Knowledge of PPM systems and continuous improvement practices</li><li>Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach</li><li>Opportunity to step into management without losing the hands-on element</li><li>Join a stable and well-invested industrial site</li><li>Play a key role in driving engineering standards and improvements</li><li>Long-term progression opportunities within the business</li></ul>
