<p>We are currently partnering with a leading manufacturer in the electrical infrastructure sector to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations within a large-scale manufacturing facility. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring production efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>This opportunity would suit an individual who has previously managed complex manufacturing operations within the power distribution, switchgear, electrical infrastructure, or similar heavy engineering environments.</p> <p>As Manufacturing Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a large manufacturing site, overseeing production teams, operational planning, and performance improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that production targets, safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently achieved while driving operational excellence across the facility.</p> <p>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage all manufacturing operations across a large-scale production facility</li><li>Drive operational performance, productivity, and cost efficiency</li><li>Ensure the site consistently meets production schedules, quality standards, and delivery targets</li><li>Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence)</li><li>Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards</li><li>Manage, develop, and mentor production managers, supervisors, and shop floor teams</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to optimise manufacturing processes and product quality</li><li>Monitor and report on KPIs including efficiency, output, scrap, downtime, and operational performance</li><li>Support capacity planning, investment decisions, and facility growth</li><li>Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance across the manufacturing team</li></ul> <p>Candidate Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Manager within a large manufacturing environment</li><li>Background within power distribution, electrical infrastructure, switchgear, transformers, energy equipment, or a closely related sector</li><li>Experience managing large production teams and complex manufacturing facilities</li><li>Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, operational improvement, and process optimisation</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and drive operational change</li><li>Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery</li><li>Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Engineering or technical qualification preferred</li></ul>
