Credit Controller

<p>We're recruiting a Regional Credit Controller on a 9-month fixed-term contract to support a busy, high-volume Credit Control function. You will be responsible for collection activity, customer communication, and a range of administrative duties that keep the credit control process running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with customers and internal teams.</p> <p><br />Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage inbound mailbox activity and respond to customer queries.</li><li>Provide copy invoices and statements of account as required.</li><li>Handle inbound customer calls professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Update customer contact details and ensure future communications are sent correctly.</li><li>Process credit and re-bill requests in the system.</li><li>Take ownership of debt accounts, ensuring timely collection in line with agreed payment terms.</li><li>Actively chase outstanding monies and work to meet collection targets.</li><li>Identify, record, and manage disputes through to resolution.</li><li>Conduct structured collection calls and maintain accurate notes across multiple systems.</li><li>Complete end-to-end account reconciliations (AR).</li><li>Participate in regional debt calls and ledger reviews.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Support general administrative tasks as required.</li></ul> <p>Skills &amp; Experience</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years' experience in Credit Control.</li><li>Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.</li><li>Experience in a service-based business is desirable.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Confident telephone manner and customer-focused approach.</li><li>Solid IT skills including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and intermediate Excel.</li><li>Detail-oriented, reliable, and target-driven.</li><li>Able to work independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>CRM/Salesforce experience beneficial; SAP knowledge desirable.</li></ul> <p><br /><br /><strong>What you need to do now</strong><br /><br />If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.<br />If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.</p> <p>Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
