It's a trap of a car park. I parked my car, saw no signs that you have to pay and I come back to a fine. Only sign is one saying "no overnight parking" and the one on the entrance as seen in the photo. I walked down under the bridge and saw nothing. Guy is like sorry nothing I can do, you have to contest it. Maybe not fine people in the first place if there's no signage. Appealed the fine, a month later I got a response, they spoke nothing about the evidence I provided and came up with different photos now showing the newly installed signs but with no time stamp on the photos and they had a different PCN reference number on them. Thanks Leeds City Council. Paid them as it's not worth the hassle. I have a dash cam video with time stamp showing there were no signs at the entrance or anywhere to be seen as I came in but they claim they were there, yeah sure.

A really large park with two ponds and a nature reserve. You can do a number of loops around the park, each one will be a minimum of 1 mile each. A lot of effort has been put in by the council in maintaining and improving the pathways. Its a really peaceful place to go for a walk. I would also say it suitable for people in wheelchairs and pushchair. You can see this in the range of people you see as you go around Once you have finished your walk or run you can head to the cafe to get some refreshments or food. The cafe is very reasonably priced with tea at around £2 and coffee costing £3. The staff are really friendly and helpful. There is a large picnic area if you want to have a family day out. Also golden acre park is surrounded on each side by farmland so very little noise.

Love golden acre and Paul's pond. Take my dogs every day met a lot of nice people that we walk round with. Great for a family day out and the cafe isn't bad either

Free car park until Monday 10 February 2025; will be interesting to see how people then will pay through the app (brown envelopes ahoy from the app developer to Leeds Council) when there's no mobile coverage there!!! Be sure to use the signed underpass to get to the park, don't cross the busy road please! In need of repairs to the road surface and the speed bumps are a bit crazy. To top it all, it has some of the craziest parked cars. Why not park not in one of the many many spaces when you can park across the entrance... or block people in? 🤔 Welcome to Leeds!
