Lovely park for a day out with family and friends, also cats and dogs :)
Great day visiting the dahlia trial grounds and other flower gardens
It is a gem of a park with quiet forest walks, lake, cafe and toilets open when the cafe is. Parking us free but not for long. If the cafe was a recognised brand it would be busier and nake more money for the council. There must be so many ways beyond car park charging for thus site to make some money. Car park charging will cut visitors and drive people to park elsewhere.
Really nice park for all ages with hood car parking around. Impressed with the standard of maintenance. Lots for different age groups great fit walking round. No major inclines really. Main car park we entered at (Alwoodly end) is about a 5/10 minute walk to the lake. Nice walk though.
The recent implementation of charges is abhorrent. You will have to pay to park here. The area is muddy and unpaved throughout. There are aggressive speed bumps and standing water throughout.
