My grandson went to copper beach for a year and a half, I scored 2 stars instead of one as during the first year things seemed to go well didn't have any concerns, however this changed when he changed class. We first started having concerns when he started showing signes that he did not want to go when he love going in the previous class but we put this down to change. But then on a few occasions on collection we observed he was in a room were there was very little activity or stimulus in the room a number of kids in ther with on worker with little enthusiasm or control of the environment, looking overwhelmed. My grandson never came home with with drawing or any pen/paint on him which when he does arts and crafts at home it's all over him. During potty training and when he was becoming dry it was apparent they were not supporting him at all, towards the end he has gone 5 days and nights totally dry with minimal accidents, we kept picking him up and he would be in a nappy and no soiled close like the haven't tried and just put a nappy on as it was easier. At home he had stopped wearing them that was the final straw as it clearly demonstrates a lack of interest or support. His mother had also gone to collect him to find him asleep in a dog bed, she had asked not to let him sleep in a dog bed but it had happened again. We have found a new nursery which he start soon and on walking around it had more staff per class and so much more activities available which puts copper beach to shame but made us realise what a poor nursery copper beach is and the regret we sent him there in the first places. I would have expect a salvation army establishment to be of a good standard but unfortunately not. It is a shame as in his first class there were some lovely ladies that worked there. I think the management need to take a look at the activities, support and care they are providing as it is worrying.
