This pub advertises that it’s open until 11 PM both on Google and clearly on the sign outside, yet when we arrived at 9:45 PM after traveling a long distance, we were refused entry with absolutely no explanation. If you’re not actually willing to serve customers until your stated closing time, then don’t mislead people. Update your Google hours and your signage accordingly, so others don’t waste their time and effort coming all the way here only to be turned away. Completely unacceptable and poorly managed. I will never return, and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

We arrived at The Abbey Inn in Leeds at 10pm, which is one full hour before their stated 11pm closing time, hoping to have a quiet beer. Despite being well within opening hours, we were completely ignored and refused service. No explanation, no courtesy — just made to feel unwelcome. If a pub doesn’t want to serve customers an hour before closing, they should change their advertised hours. Very disappointing experience.

Lovely little pub. Sadly these sort of pubs seem to be a dying breed but fortunately the Abbey Inn looked thriving when we popped in for a drink after a nice walk along the canal. We didn't try the food as we had already eaten but the Fish and Chips that was served to another customer looked and smelt delicious. We will definitely return to sample their 'Fish and Chips Friday'.
