The Gables Surgery

I cannot believe all the negative comments about this practice. I have rarely had a problem, yes it can be difficult at times to get an appointment but if you explain your problem politely i have usually been offered an alternative. I find the reception staff friendly and efficient never ever rude. I think you get back what you give out so be polite and friendly and willing to accept something different. The nurses ( especially donna) have always followed through on treatments etc. making sure referrals have been acted on. I wish my son had this practice instead of the way worse one he attends. I would recommend it to anyone.

For the first time I am not happy with the Gables. I am in near agony with a very painful arm. I’ve seen one Dr who didn’t know the cause and said I had to see Physio. I had a text asking me to ring to make the appointment. I went into the surgery but couldn’t do it there, I had to go through Patches. Three days later no appointment and rang to ask about it and now told I have to wait several weeks for an appointment. In the meantime, my arm is just about useless because of the pain from fingers to shoulder. I’m told if the physio can’t help, then they will look at other things. Surely that is the wrong way round!

I've never felt the need to review a doctors surgery before but as I search for a new surgery in Pudsey I just thought I'd second how rude the receptionists are here. I've never had a problem with the doctors but if you can ever finally get through to this place on the phone you'll be greeted by someone so miserable you have to wonder how they ever got a job involving speaking to the public. It's impossible to get an appointment here anyway and i've been overlooking the problem for years thinking I won't bother the NHS they are just busy. I don't think it's normal to have this many struggles getting through to a practice or battling with such a hostile environment - It's just this surgery. Switch now.

Extremely rude receptionist!!! I’ve had a few appointments with my dermatologist here and I had an emergency so I called the surgery and the receptionist rudely advised me to call my GP because they didn’t have my medical records and she was unbelievably rude!!!!!

Extremely unprofessional service from this surgery. No authorities are interested in taking corrective actions about this pathetic service. Took 28 days for the registration. No apology or any kind of communication on that My daughters samples have sent with wrong labels and the laboratory has rejected them. Not infomed us until we visited the surgery and checked. Receptionist said all reports are ok, but nurse confirmed the reports are rejected due to their mistake. Test packets were given for retest and sample collection without lebals printed. 🫣. The weekend staff refuse to take the samples without labels. The labels has to be printed by GP or nurse. And it took another weekend without results. Pathetic service. No one has contacted us to check what has happened
