I actually volunteer here 2 days a week between 9am and 1pm - shortly before finishing, I help take donations downstairs as well, on both days - I really enjoy it here and am absolutely willing to continue volunteering here, even though I now work Afternoon's/Evening's!! 100% worthy of a 5 🌟, without a doubt!
My mother has been giving donations of various items to the Bramley PDSA for many years now. As a family of animal lovers we like to support our local community. I have to say that the recent change in management is detriment to the nature of the charity. Recently my mother; who is an elderly woman hard of hearing, went into the store to ask about some things she was planning on bringing in for donation. She told me that she felt as though she was a bother to the young girl, who rolled her eyes at another colleague in the shop when she asked her to repeat what she had said. She told me the girl was very sharp and abrupt with her. I think these are appalling customer service skills, as a charity that relies on donations from people in the local community. I believe it’s a great loss for you that my family will no longer be donating to the local Bramley PDSA branch. The Manageress who used to work there always had time for her customers and understood the importance of donations from people in the local community. I suggest some retraining would be in order.
I think this is a very well run charity shop it feels clean and tidy, I know there have been recent staff changes, but the shop and staff still feel welcoming and above all, the shop is still full of bargains.
The volunteer staff is damb right rude will not be donating to your shop any more
