This cemetery is the resting place of many of my relatives, and has a lovely unique designed Chapel within the grounds. Some graves have been let go a bit but overall its a tidy and pleasant. The layout makes finding graves easy enough too without having to walk over to much uneven ground.

The Victorian cemetery, chapels & lodge in Bridlington are by a young architect, Alfred Smith (29), who at that time (1879) practiced from Nottingham. He didn't do much other architecture, which is a shame because his work here is stunning (its grade II listed).

The stunning Victorian Chapel dominates the cemetery. Built in Gothic style on a raised mound in the 1870s, there are gargoyles on the roof and other faces on the building. the Chapel is still in use today. There is also a lodge at the cemetery gates designed by the same architect Alfred Smith.

Well kept grounds with lots of interesting local gravestones. Visited looking for the Commonwealth War graves but they were not signposted.
