Friends Cafe

Was in thisafternoon with my 3 children stood at counter and left to wait with 3 staff behind counter awaiting 1 another to serve you. Place was full of over 40s sat individually not yer to have any food or drink delivered on 4 seat tables not one had the decency to say we'd swap clearly no manners in this area! Or the business sense to seat your customers accordingly. Food arrived and was good missing an extra egg at this point I was past a complaint just wanted to leave place is 30c inside presumably to force you to buy a soft drink. Often have breakfast here when staying at the lodge and tip heavily. Won't be returning in the future.

Such a lovely cafe. Reasonable prices and friendly service. My mum was particularly impressed with the steaming hot coffee. This was our first time visiting and we will definitely be back again!

Picture of empty plate as the burgers was too delicious to watch go cold faffing taking pictures so you will just have to trust me, I do loads of reviews and I am not in any way affiliated with this place or know any of the staff The staff are lovely and the location is too with nice big windows to watch the hustle and bustle of Brid even if you are not a window table seat. Me and my Mam have been here loads of times, so we are very happy with everything. There is lots of space but it does get totally busy so count yourself lucky if you get a table at peak times. One niggle though, I wish they would not do all the sachets of sauces and vinegar as not only ruins the great food with inferior condiments is is a pain to open them and they make a mess.

Four of us visited on the 22nd November . Our breakfast was the cleanest , most well presented fried breakfast I have ever eaten . The staff are extremely efficient and friendly . We will certainly be returning on our next stay in Bridlington . Very highly recommended !!!!

On a lovely day in November (no rain, no wind but some welcome sunshine) I had a few hours in Bridlington. I came away from the beach to have a coffee and maybe a snack and decided to try out Friends. It’s a lovely cafe, bright, light and clean. I wasn’t ready to eat but there was a really good choice of meals with several variations of a cooked breakfast all around £7 which I think is good value. They don’t really cater for gluten free but other than that I thought the choices were good. My oatmilk latte was delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive. A point to be aware of is that it’s cash only under £5. Will definitely be adding this to my list of Brid cafes to revisit. Edit: revisited March 2025-same wonderfully attentive staff, beautiful decor etc They now stock a small set of gf bars; recommend the Rocky Road!
