We ate here on New Years day following a walk around a very cold Bridlington! We have eaten here in the past & enjoyed it, so knew what to expect! Leoz is always warm & friendly. The owner was in fine spirits on new years day laughing and joking with us all Our teenage boys had Lasagne and both commented how nice it was I had the chicken parmigiana which was gorgeous and a lovely size portion Certainly a go to for lunch and dinner whilst in Bridlington
We heard someone from our Petanque competition August bank holiday say 'they had a great Tbone Steak' and that's all we needed to eat there on our holiday. I enjoyed my Tbone so much, we went back again with a friend and I had another one 😋 my Husband had the Ribs 1st visit and Ribs with Chicken the 2nd visit, absolutely loved it.
We had lunch here today. Food is always delicious.
Walked in and were greeted like long-lost family — no corporate fake smiles, just genuine, “come on in, you’re ours now” warmth. The place has that classic, lived-in Italian charm: pleasant seating, cosy atmosphere, and a vibe that basically whispers “stay as long as you like, we’ll keep pouring.” Drinks sorted instantly. We hesitated on the starter, couldn’t decide between tomato or cheese garlic bread… so they just gave us half and half. Honestly? It felt like a gift from the culinary gods. Perfectly done, crispy edges, soft centre, and enough garlic to ward off vampires until Easter. Then came the wine moment. We asked for Sauvignon Blanc. Instead of saying what they didn’t have, the boss returns with three bottles not even on the menu like some sort of grape-wielding hero. We went with a New Zealand Sauv — crisp, clean, dangerously drinkable. Mains: I went in with the lasagne; rich, hearty, exactly what you want from a proper Italian family kitchen. The spaghetti bolognese across the table looked like someone’s nonna had spent all afternoon making it, and tasted the same. No complaints. No regrets. Just plates cleaned within an inch of their lives. Then the closer: free limoncello shots. Because obviously this place understands hospitality like it’s a superpower. And let’s be clear — the boss man, Leo himself, is the star of the show. Welcoming, funny, attentive without being overbearing. The guy runs the room like a host, a chef, and a lovely all round guy! In summary: • Family Italian atmosphere: spot on • Food: cooked with heart, not just recipes • Wine service: elite level flex • Hospitality: 10/10, would adopt them into the family If you’re looking for corporate chain perfection, go somewhere else. If you want a proper Italian experience with character, kindness, and food that actually matters — Leo’z is the one. We can’t wait until we can return.
