Came here for an evening meal, arrived around 7pm and we had booked a table. Initially all when well and our order was taken. Drinks arrived quickly, but starters took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. Mains were nearly an hour after that. We were kept well informed of this by the apologetic staff as there had been some unspecified problem in the kitchen. It was a great pity as the actual food was very good when it arrived. Other than the slow production of the food it was a good experience and would have got a 5 star off us.
The staff were really friendly and the food was amazing, it was a really lovely atmosphere and great for families. The beef burger was incredible and the sticky toffee pudding with custard was delicious, It was a brilliant evening to end my holiday.
I donβt usually leave reviews, and Iβm often disappointed when eating out, but this was a genuinely good experience. The food was very good, and the service and staff were excellent throughout. The place is much bigger than we initially thought, which was a pleasant surprise, and it was also very clean. The seating cubicle we had was excellent and made the whole experience feel more relaxed and comfortable. Overall, it was great and well worth the visit.
Our first visit and wow we were not disappointed. Eddie ( landlord ) was so friendly and welcoming, taking the time to chat to us. Straight away the atmosphere was so relaxing, lovely to hear the christmas songs playing. Nothing was too much trouble, having an allergy to alcohol I have to be so careful, again he made sure that all the food was safe for me to eat, even making GF batter so I could have onion rings. Food was excellent, local produce sourced and the chef ( Paul ) outstanding. Would highly recommend as you won't be disappointed. Will definitely be back. Thank you Sue & Derek
Fantastic and friendly service. Food is gorgeous and homely and the view is absolutely stunning. Couldnβt recommend more!
