I’m done with this place. I’ve placed numerous orders with China City, and on more than one occasion items have been missing. What’s most frustrating is that I’ve never once received an apology over the phone when I’ve had to call and delay our dinner even further while waiting for missing items to be sent out. The most recent example was on New Year’s Eve. I fully appreciate that this is one of the busiest nights of the year, which is exactly why I ordered early. I wasn’t unhappy with the two-hour wait time, that was expected. What I did expect was for the food to arrive complete and hot. Unfortunately, once again items were missing, and the food that did arrive needed reheating, and the restaurant failed to send out the missing food, resulting in my having to request a refund for it. An appalling and unacceptable level of customer service. Food quality has also been consistently disappointing. After previously receiving overcooked, dry salt and pepper chicken, I decided to give China City another chance. Sadly, the result was exactly the same, dry, overcooked chicken. Customers don’t enjoy having to phone up to complain. A simple apology from the person on the other end of the phone would go a long way, but that basic level of customer service has been missing every time. You need to do better, both in food consistency and customer service. Unfortunately for me, I won’t be giving this place any more chances.
Really tasty Chinese. The crispy beef was great. Very tasty and nice and crispy. The only let down was the salt and pepper chips, just normal chips with a few sliced chilli’s.
Me and my daughter had a meal here this evening, the food was delicious, big portion sizes and all fresh and piping hot, took the rest home in containers! Staff were lovely and attentive and a great atmosphere, we will definitely be back! Thank you ☺️
We had a takeaway from here. It was the worst food from a Chinese Ive ever had. The chips had been cooked for hours before so were hard and cold. I had sweet and sour pork balls, they must have been from the cheapest cash & carry ever. We was staying 6 minutes away from the shop and they charged me £5.27 for delivery they said it wasn’t in Bridlington but it’s a Bridlington address. I will never ever use them again. So please be aware you have been warned !!!
