My 13 yr old Daughter visited this salon on 16/4/22 accompanied by her Mum . She wanted her hair blonde and was told by the owner that a decent level of blonde could be achieved.  An appointment was made. At this time no patch / allergy test was offered . This was my Daughters first ever visit to this salon..At her appointment. She was shown a colour chart of the level of blonde that could be achieved by the owner. She was in the hairdressers less than two hours this included a wash cut and blow dry & discussion She was happy with the results it was less blonde than she was shown on the charts more golden than blonde. Although she was accepting of this. Yet on day 2 the colour faded after just using shampoo. Also the gap where colour had not been applied was prominent in the front. We made contact with the Salon via email and the owner emailed back and said she could see what we meant by the pics of the front we had enclosed . Owner then rang and offered an appointment for Friday 22nd . My Daughter felt that they would not rectify the faded colour. Therefore on the Afternoon of Apr 21 she went with her Mum to two other established salons in the town. Out of Courtesy we did not mention to the salons that were visited where the work on my Daughters hair had been carried out..The feedback that was given were as follows: the gaps of original colour in the front of hair were not level, the colour looked as though it had been done a while ago, not blonde it just looks brown and that the colours all over the shop . Both Salons also showed surprise that no patch test had been done prior to the work being done by Verona's. As the work was paid for on my credit card I decided to contact the owner via the business's official Facebook page, I requested a partial refund. The request for a refund was never acknowledged. The owner replied with a before and after pic of my Daughter's hair. The narrative the owner seemed to want to push was that my Daughter was not happy and never was with the level of blonde achieved. This was not the case and although it did not come out anywhere near the colours she was told would be achieved on the colour chart . The reason the owner gave for the colour fading was that my Daughter has used a coloured shampoo. This is incorrect. For the gaps of original hair being so prominent. This was put down to my Daughter cutting her own fringe short. Again untrue. I asked the owner about lack of patch/ allergy test. The explanation was as the colour was not going near the skin so one wasn't needed.I researched this and a lot of salons do test for foil highlights, more so as there seems to be increased sensitivity and allergic reactions due to Covid19 . The owner informed me in our messenger exchange that she had spoken to clients, who heard a so called private consultation between my Daughter and her Mum and the owner and the lady who applied the colour. She said these clients heard my daughter agree that the blonde she wanted would not be achieved in one appointment. The owner also said these clients who were present were willing to make a statement against my Daughter . I find this alarming. Not only from the client privacy perspective but will these clients recognise my Daughter. Also what info did the owner give the clients when contacting them to acquire a statement . Things went down hill after this and the owner said she would seek independent legal advice . I told the owner its disgusting getting clients to make statements against a child. My Daughter has since had work rectified on Saturday. The new colour is a good level of blonde and looks blonde not brown. The front is blended perfectly. Its a far cry from the work Verona's Hair Studio did .I expect the owner to respond as is their right. I will state any defamation of character or if any of my families privacy is compromised I will take the strongest legal action. Unlike the owner I won't rely on the local boys in blue to do my bidding, I will instruct a solicitor. Pics less than 48hr later.

Fantastic place! Staff are always friendly; helpful and are really excellent at what they do. They're always great with bookings, as a guy with longer hair it was always hard to keep a haircut the same for any period of time, but I've always got a great cut at Verona's and wouldn't want to go anywhere else from now on.

I went in for a slight trim, after seeing that it was £13 on their website. The "trim" consisted of cutting 2 to 4 inches off my hair. I say varying lengths because it was the wonkiest haircut I've ever received, and I didn't even ask for layers, so this can't be an excuse. It was so incredibly uneven that I had to then go to another hairdressers to get it fixed. The hairstylist wasn't even in training either, so I don't understand how they messed it up that badly. She also moved my head around so harshly that I ended up with neck pain after the appointment. Oh, and to top it all off, it wasn't £13, it was £20. An absolute scam of a business. Would not recommend.

My Mum had her hair dyed, streaked, cut and blow-dried by Verona. Looked really trendy, great mix of different blonde and pale brown shades that looked so natural. Mum couldn't decide which colours to go for, so let Verona choose. Highly recommended, Mum has just made her second appointment for a root touch up and cut and blow dry. Lovely, warm, friendly atmosphere, not rushed, feels homely and relaxing. 100% recommended. If I had hair, I'd go to Verona's too! ;)
