Bridlington Hospital

What an absolutely outstanding team I had looking after me in Kent Ward yesterday for my knee replacement. I cannot thank each and every one enough or praise them enough for thier care, kindness, professionalism and dedication. To have my operation (first ever) and recover, have physio, all required tests and be discharged, with everything explained, by 5pm was just great and for which I am so grateful. From consultant Mr Jehan through the anesthetist and theatre teams, nursing, physio, catering and the cleaner who brought me numerous cups of tea. Thank you all so much, what a team, in a word....outstanding ☆☆☆☆☆

Took our son here whilst on holiday with a suspected broken wrist. Arrived around 7pm to be told x-ray department was shut. We saw a nurse/doctor who was very rude, made us feel like we were an inconvenience to them. We were told that his wrist wasn't swollen, which it quite clearly was, then she felt his wrist and said "no it's not broken, you can go home" We took matters into our own hand and badaged and slinged it up until we arrived home Friday where we could take him to our own hospital. After a short wait and an x-ray, my son has infact fracture his wrist. Complete disregard from the nurse/doctor who is obliged to deliver a duty of care to patients. I just hope no one else has the same treatment and becomes a massive inconvenience like we were

Hi everyone Have been to Bridlington Hospital today 4/7/2025 for a nose procedure to help me breathe easier through it. I’d just like to say to all the staff on the Lloyd ward today. You were so friendly, caring and well organised with everything from start to finish, your a credit to the NHS I’d definitely have treatment there again, just sorry that I forgot to bring some Haribo’s

Had an ultrasound scan for my pelvis. Was done diligently and nothing I can complain about with the actual procedure but when I asked if anything was showing I was told 'no nothing' and 'there is nothing there, all healthy'. Yet when I spoke to my own GP today there were lots of worrying abnormalities. Please don't do this. If there is stuff there and you don't want to tell someone then just say 'wait for your GP'. Otherwise it's a huge huge shock after thinking all was ok.

Two new knees, excellent attention and great care. Also excellent meals!
