Boots Pharmacy

Today 11th October 2025 i attended the pharmacy "P" Counter. It took alot of personel effort for me to get there as , like most people attending , we are most lightly unwell. Their was a queue of 5 in front of me at the counter aswell as people at the dispensary . A Lady was serving on each counter. The lady serving on the dispensary counter instructed the lady to stop serving on the "P"counter . Said She would take over. I presumed as being a Technician myself , this was so the pharmacist could do some final checking. She just disappered. The women who instructed this, who is obviously in a managerial Role as wearing high heels and short pencil skirt. Did not come and serve this counter , and continued to serve the dispensary counter. 3 patients in front of me walked out . BINGO for me i thought. This woman completley ignored the rest of us at the counter and continued to serve newer patients thay had not been waiting. Not one member of dispensary team or her or anyone acknowledging our existence. As someone that works in this role , i was horrified when i questioned polietly , if anyone was serving the pre existing Q over here. In which she flapped her arms like a chicken and said she didnt mean to offend me in a raised voice.i too walked out at this permormance , not comfortable being vulneralble with a Human lime that. I went to a different branch , where i did get some great advice on my condition. Ill take that you are severly understaffed in alot of your branches ( head offices fault ) and you are putting so much pressure on your staff . But you have zombie staff just getting stuff out of drawers , not even looking at the counter . Then worse for her , she called a collegue in told her to stop serving and started serving everyone else in the different Q . There was a Time Boots were Respected for their training . Those days are long gone

Oh dear what a disappointment my visit was . The grey haired elderly assistant at the pharmacy counter was unsympathetic and rude to my dilemma. Maybe it is time to retire dear . Not a good advert for Boots

Brilliant service. My wife went in with swollen limbs having been bitten by insects. The pharmacist conducted an immediate private consultation and prescribed antibiotics. She also chose tablets and a cream which would help.

Very helpful, above and beyond we were on holiday and forgot my dads pills his doctors were awful but the lady I spoke to at Boots was lovely and sorted his pills to collect an hour later. She is a credit to the company a rare experience these days to find people that are helpful in their job 🙂

Always have what I need and very helpful staff
