We had been to a few Cooplands in the area whilst visiting - kids were disappointed that none of their sausage rolls were warm from this one!
Popped in for a quick bite for lunch. But not a huge choice of sandwiches in the fridge. I know it was a Sunday, but hardly any sandwiches left! The service was quick and the staff were polite enough. But not as smiley as they could have been 😁 The coffee was delicious, the chicken salad baguette was tasty. Disabled access is excellent. But my biggest complaint was... where are the bins? Made it tricky to clear the table.
Every time I've used this particular branch I have had such a long wait! They are positioned near the Rail station so speed should be an important factor of their service. Also a hello costs nothing. People wouldn't mind being made to wait up to 15 minutes to be served if there was then a warm greeting. In my opinion the standard of the food has also been noticeable. Have they changed hands? Along with considerable price increases the standard, quality and options do not represent value for money. Relying on a historical loyal customer base and gimmick cakes with cheap ingredients will not be enough encouragement continued growth. Being in such a prime location should be such an advantage for the customers however, some small changes are needed to make this particular branch excel.
Small, but nice. Good location near to the new B&M store which opens on the 29th October. Cafe seating, shop, loo and car park. Accessibility: Level entrances, loo for the disabled, needs the emergency cord to be at floor level (in case of falls) staff too busy to gain their attention, I hope this gets spotted Car Parking: Plenty of spaces in the shared carpark with the new B&M, including for disabled and parent/children Quite a busy store
A good selection of food to go. Ranging from hot pies, pasties to sandwiches and salads. Offering lots of meal deals. These have changed slightly as well as increased in price. Previous meal deal was either a sandwich or salad with any drink plus either crisps or a sausage roll. This has been reduced down to drink plus meal and the price has increased.
