Answering the complaint from a lady re no aluminium buckets. They had 2 sizes in stock this week. Yes he's not the most friendliest of people, but he has most things you need. They stock an amazing selection of goods, even though half the shop has been sold off. Wouldn't want to lose this traditional shopping experience.

These kinds of shops are brill. The things you need will be here. Yes it is cluttered and people might not like the demeanour of the owner, but if you are so sensitive that being told a direct answer of "no" is a problem maybe you need a therapist or maybe just realise he may be busier than he looks... Maybe you asked a stupid question? Personally I think he is fine. It is a bit of an Aladdin Cave. Want a W.Germany made drawer handle? He has one! That must have been there longer than I have been alive!

This local family run Hardware shop is definitely worth a visit it is a real Gem make it your first stop before the larger DIY STORES the personal service quality range of goods and knowledgeable staff ensure you find exactly what you are looking for. In these tough economic times our local shops need our support so visit Thompsons hardware shop theres plenty of on street parking nearby

We like it in this shop Mr Thompson has everything and I mean everything that you may need there is stock everywhere as soon as you walk through the door brilliant shop.
