Shocking. Adults aren't allowed in at all. We didn't realise, until our son was in there. He is autistic and non verbal. He pushed a girl down the slide when she didn't want to and the staff would not let us in to get him. My husband ended up forcing his way in to get our son out. Kids bang on the windows to get parents attentions, whilst the adults are eating and drinking in the restaurant. Bloody ridiculous.
After attending a birthday party a few months ago we decided to book our son’s party here. So impressed with everything. The staff are brilliant, the food is great and all the kids loved it. Thankyou Monty zoomers, would definitely recommend having children’s party here.
What ever the staff get paid, it needs doubling! We frequent here every time we come to Bridlington as the kids love to play and we get an hour to chill! The staff are fantastic with the children, ferrying back and forth, ensuring their safety and keeping them safe. A huge shout out to Ruby.W and Verity. Those girls never stopped the whole time we were there. They obviously love their jobs! To the people saying their children are told to bang on the window to get their parents attention. It is clearly stated they're not a creche/ baby sitting service, all the children need to do is ask the staff and they either call parents on their phones or take them directly to their parents. We also saw children of all abilities being welcome and supported. Parents are asked to regularly check on their children. Some parents do and some don't. Complaints can't be made when they're not checking on them!
Visited this establishment yesterday with my wife and our two autistic children, Our 14 year old didn't want to go in but our 9 year old non verbal autistic son was excited to go play. When paying was told it was children only and this was after explaining with him being non verbal and I need to be with him, we decided to allow him on as he was excited to go play. My son unfortunately did happen to push another child down the slide because he hasn't quite got the understanding but we spoke to the child's parents and made sure the child was okay, but when this incident happened I explained to the very young staff member this is why I needed to be in with him. Trying to get my sons attention is a difficult task in situation but he wouldn't come to me so we could take him elsewhere but another young staff member just stood by the gate as to not let me in to go and get him and the gate was only opened when my son came near but then ran off again. At this point I decided enough was enough and managed to get myself in the soft play to get him. On the way out one of this girls says "do you want his shoes?" well no I'm just going to walk him around Bridlington in his socks. Will never go here again and if you have children I wouldn't go here. Its basically a crèche for parents who want to eat and drink in the restaurant next door and palm the kids off
Stayed in Bridlington for a few days recently and when walking past, my 6 year old daughter asked to go inside and play. I was hesitant as we had lots of other activities planned that day but once you get the wristband you can come and go as you please. She was immediately met by some other girls who invited her to play, and she had a lovely time. We went off swimming and then popped back afterwards so she could play again. This gave me some time to relax with a coke in the restaurant area, choosing my seat carefully so I could see if she needed me (there is a big window where kids go to attract their parents attention). The lady working that day (Alysa) was amazing - very attentive to the children and very patient. Overall this is great value for money and very well run. Based on some of the other reviews I wonder if your experience depends on who is working that day but if Alysa is on duty, don’t hesitate.
