Decent little arcade with a big selection of machines that all seemed to be in good working order. I noticed a staff member seemed to be guiding someone towards certain machines to play (and they very quickly won). Could just be showing someone to their favourite machine I suppose, but it has happened a few times and has me wondering!
I visited Premier amusements yesterday while wandering around Bridlington with my family. These amusements met all my expectations of what amusements should be. It is quite small compared to many I have been in and lacks arcade type games. There are manly fruit machines, 2p machines and Teddy grabbing machines in this place. It does have an air hockey table, which is always good fun.
The only pinball machine they have is in not poor but appalling condition. The rubbers are cracked and some very near breaking. Thus making the playing experience not a good one. This is from an experienced player and owner. Please maintain the machine.
There are many amusement arcades in Bridlington but it was only in Premier Amusements where I found cheerful, friendly staff who went above and beyond to help out and add to my experience. They all deserve a huge pat on the back. The arcade itself is a great place to go with quieter areas towards the back for people who find the noise and lights of such places overwhelming. It is more spacious than the other arcades too. I am a wheelchair user but had no trouble negotiating my way around the arcade.
I don't go to Brid often, couple of times a year to see relatives. But always make a point of going to Premier. It's the most authentic arcade in Bridlington. Was in there on Tuesday, staff member on was very helpful (Elaine) - solved a drama with me not being able to find any gift shops that were open, pulled down the blinds overlooking the harbour when the sun moved around so I didn't get blinded! The lady on afterwards was great too but I forgot to get her name. Machines I played all worked perfectly, payouts seemed very good, and even got a free Biscoff biscuit with free hot chocolate. Had no idea they did matchplays - staff just came over and gave me a free fiver of credit on two occasions! Pretty much my idea of heaven and definitely felt they are making the effort to make the customer happy. Nice range of machines - new and old £5 jackpots and a nice mix of modern and older in the Over 18s too. Definitely recommended!!
